Isle of Coll is a sleepy little island 7 miles west of Mull. It isn’t packed with things for visitors to do, but for many people that is the attraction in itself. Ringed by sandy beaches, the island is an important refuge of the corncrake, which visits in the summer. Nearby, Breachacha Castles are two fortified tower houses built by the Maclean Clan. For accommodation, the Coll Hotel is a great spot with unique rooms and harbor views as well as a top notch seafood restaurant.
