Roadford Lake Visitor Centre
Roadford Lake Visitor Centre is the perfect place to orientate oneself when on a day out on or around Roadford Lake. From here you can obtain information about the various activities and centres around the massive 730 acre lake, and exhibitions give entertaining and educational insights into the wildlife that inhabits the lakes depths and shores. The visitor centre also includes a cafe with dining facilities for the whole family and gift shop for a memento of your day out.
For fun and activities on and around the water, Roadford Lake is hard to beat. Visitors can enjoy miles upon miles of foot and cycle paths which intertwines their way among the brushes and shores of this spectacular lake. The more nautically minded among you may want to take to the waters themselves, and can do so by hiring a rowing boat to explore scenery from a different perspective.
For the more adventurous visitor, there is the popular Outdoor and Active Centre across the lake from the visitors centre where one can try their hand at brown trout angling, sailing, windsurfing, rowing, kayaking and also have access to the wonderful campsite catering for holidaymakers and watersports enthusiasts alike.
All in all, Roadford Lake is a fun and educational day, or indeed weekend, out for all the family and should not be missed if in the area!
